Samedi 24 Mars 2007, je suis invité par John Martin à pêcher la rivière Spey sur l’estate de Ballindaloch en amont d’Abelour. Mythique rivière, mythique beat où vient tous les étés pêcher le prince Charles.
Pas de chance, les conditions ne sont pas idéales avec un soleil éclatant, mais quel bonheur de dérouler de la soie sur les magniques pools de cette rivière sous les conseils du jeune mais expérimenté guillie Steeve. Mon spey cast s’en trouve transformé. J’aurai une bonne tirée en fin de journée mais je perds ce poisson immédiatement. Dommage, mais superbe journée.
